Isabelle Carré is a freelance musician playing flute, alto flute, bass flute and piccolo and specialising particularly in contemporary music. She also plays early flutes as well as those from several non-Western traditions.

As a gamelan musician Isabelle performs traditional Javanese music and new compositions for gamelan instruments.
